After doing significant variety roles in films like Mantra, Prema Oka Maikam and Anukokunda Oka Roju, Actress Charmee will now play the role of a journalist in her upcoming film to be directed by Thammareddy Bharadwaj.
The film is a political drama titled Pratighatana. The President of AP Film Chamber will once again wield the megaphone after a long gap. Thammareddy earlier directed films like Pothe Poni, Swarna Mukhi, Entha Bagundho etc.
He is now coming back with a storyline that he claims to be unique and different and feels that Charmee can fully justify the main role. Female centric films have always had their audience, expecially when delivered by a good director and a talented actress. That space was well ruled by Actress Vijayashanti before, followed by the likes of Soundarya and Anushka. One has to wait and watch if bubbly Charmee takes over the league.
